UN Court to announce Guyana - Suriname ruling on Thursday

GEORGETOWN - The Permanent Court of Arbitration has informed Guyana’s Foreign Affairs Ministry that the ruling on the boundary between Guyana and Suriname will be made public on Thursday, September 20 at 16.00h.

According to a release from the Ministry, the Court of Arbitration is the Registry of the Tribunal that was requested to delimit definitively the boundary between the two countries.

The members of the Arbitral Tribunal include Judge Dolliver Nelson, President, Professor Thomas Franck, Dr. Kamal Hossain, Professor Ivan Shearer and Professor Hans Smit.

Sir Shridath Ramphal headed Guyana’s legal team.
