The Pomeroon License comprised 2.8 million acres and was acquired from Century Guyana, Ltd. and the license transfer was approved by the Government of Guyana in July 2004. The Pomeroon License was located between the Demerara License and Venezuela’s Deltana Platforma.
CGX completed a regional interpretation of existing data and identified several turbidite targets however exploration was deferred pending concurrence by Guyana and Venezuela on the maritime boundary between the two countries which is under review through the Good Officer process.
The Pomeroon License expired on November 19, 2012.
