CGX Energy to Present at COPIC Spring Energy Conference

Toronto, Ontario - CGX Energy Inc. (OYL - TSX-V) is pleased to announce that it is presenting at the 2009 COPIC Spring Energy Conference in Toronto which will be broadcast live via webcast. CGX’s presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29th at 11:30 am ET. Kerry Sully, President & CEO is making the presentation which focuses on the exploration progress made by CGX in the Guyana Suriname basin and provides a preview of the preliminary interpretation of the Corentyne 3D seismic (completed on time and on budget) that is confirming CGX’s 2D model. CGX has $22 million in capital (year-end financials are available on SEDAR www.sedar.com) and the Company is currently undertaking a $5 million capital expenditure program which includes seismic processing and interpretation, well design and environmental approval for drilling.
