  Websites on Caribbean Geology
The following is a list of several websites of universities with Caribbean geology specialties. The focus of these programs tends to be on the entry of the Caribbean Plate from the Pacific resulting in the exposure of ocean crust as well as the formation of the various islands. References to the north slope of Guyana are indirect at best. The date of entry of the Caribbean Plate (88-91 my) appears to coincide with the date of the Canje Formation source rocks (90 my), although this does not appear to be discussed in the articles cited.
